Key Takeaways from InfoComm 2025

Key Takeaways from InfoComm 2025

Greg Topel |

We're not alone when we say that InfoComm 2025 was an absolute whirlwind! From the moment the doors swung open at the Orange County Convention Center, the energy was off the charts. With nearly 31,000 verified attendees from 97 countries (and a record 35% of those being end users), this year’s show was the place to be if you’re into pro AV, cutting-edge displays, and the future of collaboration. Here are some observations about the biggest trends in displays and AV solutions, straight from the floor.

LED Everywhere, Smarter Than Ever

LED tech continues to dominate, but what stood out this year was the sheer range of form factors and the intelligence being baked in. Absen, for example, rolled out their Neptune Pro V2 and Polaris 3.9 Pro V3 Series—think ultra-high refresh rates, insane brightness (up to 4000 nits!), and even stage flooring options for immersive live events. Speaking of LEDs, check out the lighbars on our latest Adapt LTS tablet series!

AV-over-IP and AI Integration

AV-over-IP is no longer just a buzzword—it’s the foundation for flexible, scalable installs. There were more systems than ever leveraging networked video and audio, with AI-powered features for smarter control and collaboration. The big players are all in, and the demos made it clear that the future is software-driven and cloud-connected. Of course, you all know Mimo has been talking about AV-over-IP for years in the context of our Mimo Myst family of video conferencing solutions and our partnership with Lenovo.

Sustainability and Smarter Power

Sustainability was a recurring theme. Companies like AMETEK SurgeX and VITEC showcased solutions for smarter energy management and greener video encoding, helping integrators cut costs and reduce environmental impact without sacrificing performance.

Tablets and Collaboration Devices: More Than Just Touchscreens

Tablets were everywhere, but not just as generic touch panels. The focus is on specialized, ruggedized solutions for everything from digital signage to room control. The new launches emphasized durability, security, and seamless integration with AV ecosystems. I'd be remiss for not mentioning our own rugged family of tablets, the Mimo Adapt LTS.

A Standout Show for Mimo

Best of Show
Mimo had a banner show, taking home a coveted Best of Show award for our FlashCast solution—an HDMI overlay device that lets organizations instantly broadcast visual alerts over any screen, without interrupting content. This is a game-changer for safety, compliance, and communication in schools, hospitals, and corporate environments. Sean sums it up here.

Technology in Action Tour
Mimo was also a featured stop on the Technology in Action Tour, giving attendees a hands-on look at how our small-format displays and signage solutions are deployed in real-world settings (including our hotel!). The buzz around the booth was real as Founder and CEO, David Anderson, showed off our latest innovations - lots of interactive demos and practical use cases!

Launch of the Adapt LTS Family of Tablets
One of the most talked-about launches was Mimo’s Adapt LTS family of tablets. These new tablets are purpose-built for commercial environments, offering robust performance, advanced security, and flexible mounting options. They’re designed to integrate seamlessly with modern AV systems—perfect for everything from conference room scheduling to interactive kiosks.

Final Thoughts and Thanks

InfoComm 2025 proved that the AV industry is bouncing back and evolving faster than ever. Displays are getting smarter, tablets are more versatile, and the integration of AI and sustainability is shaping every product conversation.

And before I forget—a huge thank you to our distributor, TD Synnex, for hosting their partners at the legendary Ice Bar. It was the perfect spot to unwind, make new friends, and swap stories after a packed day on the floor.

See you all in Las Vegas next year!
